Creuers del Port de Barcelona S.A. was founded in 1999 to operate 5 public cruise Terminals at the Port of Barcelona. Since then it has accumulated deep knowledge of the industry and has, with highly trained professionals, developed and increased cruise passenger traffic from 562,397 in the year 2000 to become the largest cruise port in Europe and 4º in the world.

In 2008, Creuers del Port de Barcelona S.A. founded - Cruceros Málaga S.A.-, with 80% shares, to operate under concession two mega cruise ship terminals at the Port of Málaga.. After strong growth, the passenger traffic reached 409.000 in 2014.

In 2011, the joint venture - SATS-CREUERS Cruise Services – was awarded by the Singapore Tourism Board the operation of the new Cruise Terminal Marina Bay Cruise Center, in Singapore. With a total investment of over €350 m., the new Iconic Terminal is prepared to accommodate 2 home port mega ships simultaneously. It was inaugurated in May 2012.

In 2014 - Global Ports Holding- acquired the majority of the Company, becoming the largest Cruise Port Operator expanding its presence around the World since 2004 and operating over 4 million passengers per year.

Following its expansion, in 2015 Creuers owned 10% of new Joint venture Company - Lisbon Cruise Terminal – after being awarded the concession and operation of the existing terminals and the construction of the new Terminal planned to start works by end 2015.
